We all are held hostage by the hours in a day down to </div><div>our last breath. Victims of the great devouring god! Everything we do in this physical world is within </div><div>the boundaries of time and space, and so we all bow our heads, to the god of time and space, Kronos!</div><div>No one can escape it.. well that is if you are alive in a body.</div><div>We know this to be true time is either working against you or you are good at working with it. Those </div><div>that make no effort to manage there time are those that are always falling short, not completing goals, </div><div>and not living life to the fullest. They are those that feel trapped, controlled, failing, useless, and </div><div>inevitably feeling beat down. If we don't grab time by the hairs and manipulate it into what we want it </div><div>will run us over like a bus in a blizzard!</div><div>Ok enough with the metaphors ha ha ha. Seriously it is time we are all working against so why do most </div><div>not work with the time they have in a manner that produces the successful life they want? The answer </div><div>is….Aliens! Actually I dont know. For years I was one of those slaving away and getting run over by </div><div>the bus called time. When I made the move to open my first brick and mortar I would work sometimes </div><div>fifteen hour days and have barely anything to show for it. I realized there had to be something I was </div><div>missing, Some key aspect that wasn't getting me to my goals and targets.</div><div><b><u>TIME MANAGEMENT</u></b></div><div>Low and Behold it was time management. Currently my life is full of time management. I live by it and</div><div>I dont know how anyone does anything without it. I schedule my daily routines of meditation and </div><div>rituals, my diet and exercise, my business has an automatic booking system that schedules my </div><div>appointments, and I dont do anything with friends or family without planning out the date. </div><div>And if your working to be a writer or even a blogger then you absolutely have to manage your time. </div><div>Why? Well ill say this, all those times you feel like your not accomplishing anything, getting anywere. </div><div>That your just spinning your wheels. Its because you have no way to track progress in your life. And </div><div>time management is a way to see your progress and feel accomplished in real time. You have a goal, </div><div>you give yourself the time you think to complete it, you dedicate one, two hours a day doing it, and the </div><div>deadline comes and whala! Its complete. And you feel like you have super powers and can accomplish </div><div>anything. </div><div>For this reason time management equals success or folly! If you see your goals completed and you </div><div>can track your progress in the things you do you are less likely to give up, to get lazy, or to falter.</div><div>And once you begin to see progress from managing your time you will begin to set more goals, set the </div><div>bar higher, and achieve things that you had thought impossible for you and your life.</div><div>I have lots of clients and to most of them I recommend meditation. One of the biggest problems and the</div><div>worst excuse I hear is “ I dont have time” this is bull crap! The average person spends anywhere from </div><div>one to six hours at a time on facebook. SIX HOURS! Thats crazy, doing what? Swiping your finger on </div><div>a screen looking at something that wont benefit you in any way. And if you are not doing that you are </div><div>watching TV for hours at a time. Its not that people dont have time to do great things with there lives. </div><div>They are just placing no importants on time at all, and they are so comfortable wasting there lives and </div><div>there time. This is saying that your comfort is more important than your dreams and goals because </div><div>those are your actions. Many people say “ I want this or that goal” but they dont work for it and I mean </div><div>rally work for it. I mean there are kids in Zimbabwe that walk 10 miles to go to school. And there are </div><div>kids here in the USA that walk a block and could care less about education. Your actions are saying </div><div>what you really want. For most wasting time is called “ relaxing” Why would they think this is</div><div><br></div><div><div>relaxing? Well in an over stimulating society doing something that takes away stimulation and makes </div><div>us for the lack of a better term “ brain dead” feels like relaxation.</div><div>The thing is that all that time is better spent on our goals and the things we desire to do. One of my </div><div>clients is a single mother of three, she has a waitressing job, another job cleaning hotels, goes to school </div><div>part time and has a side business selling health products. Mind you I am writing this during the COVID</div><div>time so she is also somehow raising kids and getting them schooling online because they are all small. </div><div>On top of this she meditates daily. When I gave her a reading I saw that she was going to also be going </div><div>into real estate and a couple other side businesses. She bought a house and wants to travel and do even </div><div>more. She told me there was a period in her life were she was “ run over by time” it was just slipping </div><div>away and nothing was happening. She decided to start managing her time. This was when her life </div><div>turned around, she found she had lots of time she could fill. So she started school and then the next </div><div>thing. Now she is so invigorated she is addicted to accomplishing her goals. Why? Because she is </div><div>seeing progress in real time with time management. SO don't waste your time use it to have the life and</div><div>wellbeing that you want!</div><div><b><u>TRACKING AND THE SET POINT</u></b></div><div>I personally track everything in my life. For a successful diet you have to track it. Otherwise you have </div><div>no idea whats going on. For anything if you cannot track it you do not know. I make a weekly schedule </div><div>of how my day will go from waking up to working the hours I work to sleeping. This lets me see in real</div><div>time what im accomplishing. And of course life dosn’t always work with our plans. In fact it almost </div><div>never does but if you begin to manage and track your time you will gradually get a hold on your life </div><div>and mold it to be what you want. When it comes to meditation if you want to be able to meditate for an</div><div>hour straight, well you better time your sessions and work up to it. Any athlete will tell you that they </div><div>didn't start out running the mile in under a minuet. No they timed themselves and tracked there </div><div>progress. And then they did the next step in in accomplishing there goals. They moved the bar UP ever </div><div>so slightly until one day BAM! They did it, a mile in under a minuet, and its repeatable. This is called </div><div>the set point, many people fail on diets or goals because once they reach a comfort zone they accept </div><div>that point and dont progress. In fact thats were most digress. They say I want to loose 20 lbs and get </div><div>muscle definition. They drop 10lbs and look good and they start cheating on there diet, and loosing </div><div>momentum and inevitably fail. Because they felt good loosing 10lbs. But they didn't push the comfort </div><div>zone they didnt stick to the set point. And then there are those who drop the 20lbs and platue they dont </div><div>get anything more then that. It because they didnt move the set point, and push it a little further. </div><div><b><u>WILL POWER</u></b></div><div>Then there is the inevitable WILL POWER. Will power is not some special thing. ITs just forcing </div><div>yourself to do what you know is right in the moment instead of what you desire to do. For many of us </div><div>thats eating fruit when we want a snickers bar. We often fail and fall to our desires instead of whats </div><div>right. If we were to just force ourselves to do half only half of what we know is good for us instead of </div><div>falling prey to that whiney brat called the ego who wants nothing but to me in comfortable non </div><div>threatening situations its whole existence. Then we would all be happier healthier succesful people.</div><div>We could meditate for hours, have the body we want, have the opportunities and reach our goals like </div><div>we want. Feel success in all our endeavors. All we have to do is force ourselves to do what we know.</div></div><div><br></div><div><u><b>NO EXCUSES</b></u><br></div><div><div style="font-weight: bold;">SO if you want to meditate more or longer what can you do? TIME YOUR SESSIONS, Then increase </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">the time. Everyone can take ten twenty minuets away from there screen time and put it to use in </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">meditation. Everyone can take an hour off of netflixs and use it for exercise or for spiritual practice. </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">Everyone can do 10 push ups a day. Really there is absolutely no excuses. Yet here we are. All of us </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">falling short of our goals, wasting time on bull shit that doesn't enrich our lives at all. And that </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">contributes to your stress and depression. DO YOU WANT TO BE HEALTHY? Then force yourself to </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">eat the shit that you dont want to instead of that donut! And you know what, you don't even have to like</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">doing it. You can bitch and moan and yell about how it sucks, but just do it god damn it and live longer </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">and bitch longer and look better and feel better for many more years.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">There is definitely no excuse. Im sure you are saying “oh well MR. Phoenix heart what about this and </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">that” NO! NO! NO! Its that simple. You either want it or you dont and your actions determin if you do </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">or not! Plain and simple. Human beings have amazing will power and there bodies can handle the </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">craziest things, and there minds can be phenomenal. Its been seen many times, its been proven many </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">times recorded for you to read about. YOU WANT TO READ MORE BOOKS? Well force yourself to </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">read for an hour. You dont have to retain all the info, or memorize the book Just read it. There you just </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">read a book dosnt that feel good?</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">It really simple you dont need a magic spell, or another self help video like the fucking secret to help </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">you manifest your dreams. You already have that power its called what? willpower, “which is forcing </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">yourself to do what you know is right when you dont want to do it”</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">And what are the techniques to being successful? Time management, and tracking your progress.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">And what do we do if we get stale and are not gaining anymore? We move the set point.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">We all want happiness, health, and to live our dreams. It is hard to make these things happen because </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">our greatest enemy is ourself. The struggles are always internal you dont ware any bruises. And you </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">dont have any badges for success. But you can see these things through tracking and time management.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">So if you want to be abetter meditator, be healthier, be smarter, a writer, or have a business. Learn the </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">things I am talking about here and apply them they will greatly benefit your life if you do.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">So if you are like me prone to procrastination, loves there comfort, but has all these goals. Better look </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">in the mirror and face the truth. Our actions probebly arnt lining up to what we say we want and we can</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">bet that we are probebly not maneging our time well. To boot we are also not setting good goals.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><b><u>SETTING GOALS.</u></b></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">Setting goals is easy you say you want this and then get it right? Wrong. We set for ourselves the worst </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">expectations. We dream big too big for our station. The old axiom “ crawl before you walk” fits well </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">here. If you want to be 210lbs of pure muscle and you are currently 250lbs of mainly jelly. Then </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">saying you want to achieve that in 4 months is ridiculous. Well I guess its not if your rich, have no </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">financial worries so you don't work and you have a state of the art gym and a killer dietician and </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">personal trainer, But you don't. So yeah ridiculous. So a goal like this may better be looked at as a 2 </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">year plan. So it would be better to set a goal of loosing 10lbs of fat and seeing muscle growth in2 </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">months. And then moving that set point to another 10lbs and more muscle growth. And tracking the </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">progress, managing your time so you can do 35 minuets of work out a day for five days, sticking to </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">your schedule even thought the little baby in you called the ego will be uncomfortable and whiney.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">And you will start to get the progress, see and feel the resaults, become the goal and then maybe even </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">kill that goal faster then you anticipated. So here we have two year long term goal and a short tearm </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">goal of two months. Working the short term goal gets us to the long term goal.</div></div><div style=""><div style="font-weight: bold;">Most folks say “ im gana loose 50lbs for my new years resolution, and get sexy for summer” crap </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">didn't get there again for the tenth year in a row. And we know why, they had a great idea but no plan </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">of action like a short term goal with time management to follow through. Now if you have read this and</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">had eversion to most of what I have said or nodded your head in agreement that you are your own </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">worst enemy well GOOD! Then you are getting it. Now if you can just force yourself to do whats right </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">even when your ego is screaming no! And apply time management, good and realistic goal setting, and </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">continue to move the set point. You will be kicking some serious ass with your goals. </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">My goal for the day was to write this before 10am I started at 8:30 am its now 9:49. I finished it. the </div><div style="font-weight: bold;">point is I gave myself the time and I accomplished my goal, i feel pretty damn good!</div></div>Michael Phoenix Hearthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13709206343488489437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301745508503824244.post-83539806742999511762021-12-31T19:49:00.001-08:002021-12-31T19:49:15.127-08:00How to Meditate Successfully<p dir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-06b53206-7fff-2cee-7549-2aa05b00e555"> How to Meditate Successfully</p><p dir="ltr">Meditation is a huge trend and is of tremendous benefit for any person. Many people however attempt it and fall short. So why is this the case? Well, I personally think it’s two things. One is that most people are used to quick fixes in this life. Instant gratifications or near-instant results. When we are sick we take a pill and move on with our day. When we are hungry we go to the fast-food drive-through, millions of people choose the fast lane even though speeding doesn’t bring you to your destination any quicker than if you left at a decent time. </p><br><p dir="ltr">The second issue I find is bad instruction and a lack of an experienced teacher. Most people who “attempted” meditation listen to a youtube video or audio-guided version. And then without it, they themselves cant actually meditate. And if they were lucky enough to take a class online or in-person the teacher is only there for as long as the workshop lasted. Now let me be clear all these things are useful and great so don't think I am spitting on these things. </p><br><p dir="ltr">The kind of meditation I am talking about is not transcendental, shamanic journeying, hypnosis, or healing. The type of meditation that I am talking about is what I call “evolutionary meditation” these are the practices of meditation that lead you to be a better person, change, gain clarity of who and what you really are, and yield deep insight into the nature of things Inevitably bringing you to your true nature and what is called self-realization. And from there we can jump off into many other wonderful things like liberation from suffering, the nature of life, deep philosophy, and more.</p><br><p dir="ltr">The Truth is meditation, True meditation is difficult it may be easy for some at first but to make continued progress you have to know how to adjust your meditation so that it will unlock what you are trying to achieve, and so that it will stand strong against the crashing waves of life. The lack of a good teacher and instruction and the ability to understand progress leaves many people just dabbling and chalking their meditation experiences as just fleeting moments just like all other things in life which lead to many quitting or feeling like meditation doesn’t work for them.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Most people think meditation is easy, it’s something hippies and lazy people do. But it’s farther from the truth. Living a lifestyle that involves meditation is very hard. The first thing you realize is that you actually have to apply some effort and that you need to take some time out of your life for it. The next part is that you have to work on your own self. So meditation involves self-awareness, self-reflection, and then after meditation action upon your daily life to complete the experiences or insight that it brings and bring your inner peaceful nature into your outer chaotic world. </p><p dir="ltr">And many do not want to reflect and change themselves so this is the first stage where people quit. </p><p dir="ltr">Some people have a great experience. Feeling the moments of peace and shedding stress to be immersed in visions, lights, and sensation. Most people at this stage get enamored with meditation they love it and begin to do it regularly. But soon all that fades like anything born of this illusionary world. Because this is what they are experiencing illusion is some form of or the other. It doesn’t mean the visions don’t mean anything but this is not the goal of meditation. Once the fleeting of lights and visions stop this is the second cliff that new meditators fall from. They quit or begin to do everything under the sun searching for their next fix as someone with an addiction lost roaming in the illusion of the subtle realms of self.</p><br><p dir="ltr">If the meditator can get past these first two daunting personal roadblocks they will move into True meditation where reality starts to change, work has been completed and the inner changes become outer through the activity of the meditator living in the new subtle mind-states.</p><br><p dir="ltr">So how do we properly meditate? Well, I will give a quick personal view of a good way to practice and some tips. These tips and knowledge come from over twenty-five years of being a meditator and receiving training by highly skilled teachers of traditions and in the field of mindfulness, and psychology as well as spiritual schools of meditation and personal evaluation. The first thing we have to ask ourselves is “WHAT IS OUR GOAL?” because many first time meditators just start doing it and just go for it and “see what happens” they often hit dead ends or stop when “what is happening isn’t to there expectations or likings anymore” these things are in quotes because they are things I have heard from teaching students and holding public meditation groups for many years. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Our goals our reasons for meditating have to start somewhere. Some start because they are stressed and it was recommended to them to be less stressed. Lol, the funny thing is that there is nothing more stressful to a stressed person than sitting still and sitting in silence while they are stressed lol. It almost always intensifies their issues. Why? Well the reason people are stressed most of the time is they cannot fix the issues in their life, or they are not facing those problems or inner issues and when you sit quietly with yourself you get clarity, and often what you see is the ugly truth about your situations and self. This is not what people want most the time when they meditate they want escapism. Some people want to lower blood pressure, or bring more joy into there life, or have a connection to god that isn’t religious in nature but experiential. These are just some reasons, not everyone’s reason for attempting meditation. The situations are as vast as the ocean,it would be unfair to categorize all stressed people into one little box but there is a point here. If the person who is stressed continues to utilize good meditation techniques time and again, they find that the stress starts to deteriorate and they can become calmer. Its been medically studied that it does help reduce blood pressure. Most people who are active meditators do feel happier less disturbed by life’s difficulties, and most meditators will tell you they feel more in connection to god or the universe than ever. So think about why you are meditating and dont fool yourself. Its going to be a process and just like anything it will have its ups and downs. You will probably have to face some fears, overcome personal limitations, bias ways of thinking, and face yourself and the truth head-on. Anyone person who thinks meditation is easy, something hippies do, or that it only brings joy has never truly met a meditator.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Maybe your reason for coming to meditation is because you are not particularly religious but you feel meditation might help enhance your connection to the divine. Maybe you want to develop your psychic faculties, or clear your mind, or learn to control your mind and emotions. Whatever your reason is, it is probably going to be some work. So figure out what your reason is and then understand and conceptualize what work may need to be put in so that you can achieve that work.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Ok so now you have your goals. And you probably got a good idea of what kind of time realistically you are going to have to put in to achieve that. The best part is its not like its hard like working out or fixing a car. You are going to go inside yourself and work on you. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Meditation recommendations</p><p dir="ltr">Always do your meditation in another room than were all the things are happening. Try not to meditate on your bed. Have a chair or mat set aside just for this activity and is used for nothing else. Make sure it’s quiet. If you cannot get completely quiet because your partner is watching the kids or the fur babies then use some earplugs. Dim lighting is conducive to relaxation as well as nice incense or smells. Set a comfortable scenario especially if you are a first-time meditator. Do not try meditating amongst the family on the couch with kids running around and TV blaring. None of those things is conducive to relaxing. If this is how you meditate you are most certainly doing it wrong and or achieve very little.</p><p dir="ltr">In making a comfortable space and scene make sure you not too comfortable you do not want to fall asleep. This is why you see yogis and meditators sitting in their asanas or postures. They make it just comfortable enough to relax and not fall asleep so keep this in mind. Do not meditate laying down ether.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Posture is important you want to be comfortable but not too comfortable. You want to make sure you don't fall asleep. Make sure your warm because in deeper states of meditation the body will get colder. So now that it’s quiet, dim lit, nice incense, warm and comfortable. You are all set to begin.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Beginning meditation</p><p dir="ltr">Once you are nice and comfortable if you feel like moving or fixing your hair or moving your pillow do all that before you begin the breathing technique. When you are ready just start breathing deep long breaths in the nose and deep long breaths out the nose. You may sigh and yawn this is fine. If you feel like fidgeting, or itching your nose, or adjusting your hair once you start breathing you must not move. This leads to the first discipline of the meditator.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Breathing patterns:</p><p dir="ltr">There are many breathing patterns also known as “pranayamas” in Sanskrit. That has been used for well over three thousand years by monks, yogis, and holy men to calm the mind and alter your (conscious perceptional awareness) A.K.A “state”.</p><p dir="ltr"> These patterns tune the body to relax and the mind to quiet. And if the practitioner loses focus or becomes distracted the simple act of focusing on the breath once again brings them back to the deep relaxed state. </p><p dir="ltr">The most famous of these is Shakamuni buddhas breathing repetition and It goes as follows.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Breathe in for a count of 8, hold for a count of 8, breathe out for a count of 8, hold the breath out for a count of 8, and start again. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Mastering this breathing pattern by simply doing it a lot. Will not only benefit you in meditation but also serve to bring your mind and body to a relaxed state anytime anywhere. If feeling anxiety, nervousness, or even just overwhelmed and scatted. This breathing pattern will bring you back to a neutral state. This breathing pattern is a crucial part to meditation that many people overlook and few use. It is the main pillar of successful meditation without it you are just sitting in your pool of overthinking with your eyes closed. Once you have spent some time sitting with your eyes closed and learning how to do this breathing pattern you are ready to begin meditation. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Here we will know approach some fundamental parts of meditation which should be taken into consideration for success, and for practical application.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Stillness:</p><p dir="ltr">Sit still for god’s sake!! By not moving your body you are choosing to discipline the mind and body together. The body is going to tell the mind it needs to move, the mind is going to tell itself and the body it needs to move. Creating a distracting loop of “ I don't want to do this” By not giving in to this distraction you begin to take control of your mind and body for the first time. Do not move just observe how your mind-body connection doesn't want to sit still, and how it wants to distract you from peace and relaxation. It doesn't want to be quiet like a child throwing a tantrum. In this part of meditation you just observe the body don’t let your thoughts drift if you are thinking only think about what your body is doing. If you have a pain in your toe, or your neck doesn’t move don't scratch that itch just observe it with all your awareness. You will see that if you just become aware of the distraction it will fade away.</p><p dir="ltr">After you have observed the body while doing the 8 fold breathing pattern for a period of time. About 10 to 30 minutes. You will start to notice the body becoming quieter, the breath becoming longer and smoother, and relaxation is now beginning. At this point you will want to let go of focusing on the body and this is good. You can begin to transition to the next part slowly which is observing your thoughts.</p><p dir="ltr">Hear just like the body we will observe the distractions.</p><br><p dir="ltr">The mind is not as easy to observe as the body. Being that the body is a tangible thing it’s easy to observe it. When we go to observe our mind thoughts are what we are observing. And thoughts are not tangible. In fact they don't even exist! But thats higher teachings we won’t go into here. We think automatically as you are walking through your day there are times when you are purposely thinking about things and then most of the time your mind is just thinking on its own without your intention and focus. Scientist have found in sleep studies that even when a person is in deep sleep there brain is paying attention to outside stimuli. This is why if you are listening to music when you fall asleep it becomes part of your dream. </p><br><p dir="ltr">So how do we observe our thoughts? Well, the easiest way is to first just NOTICE when you start thinking of outside stimuli. The car going buy, the cat meowing and then essentially ignore it and tell yourself its not important. The word notice is large because when you notice a clear sky you don't chase it down the street to find where it goes, or try to bring it down where you are. You just observe it with no extra thoughts or projections. Don't try to wrestle your mind, just try to WITNESS the “sky”. In observing a thing we are affirming to our self that “we are not that” for it is impossible to be the thing you are observing. Just like sitting in a movie theater watching the credits roll. You are observing the information, the emotional thoughts, the way the mind thinks of the past or future, and then just letting it go. If you find you are getting swept away with a thought return to your breath it will bring you back to center. </p><p dir="ltr">In this stage, the meditator will notice the body is much quieter but the mind may have only become a little more quieter if at all. In most meditation and mindfulness instruction they tell you to “ see the thoughts as clouds passing by” that’s all hogwash to me. I have never seen clouds and for most people, they get caught up on the “seeing” part. So here’s how I teach it. You are looking at the back of your eyes and all you see is black. Nothingness. While you are seeing nothing it’s like being in a dark room and there is someone just talking away with all their thoughts, feelings, garbage from the day and you are sitting there listening and thinking “ shut the hell up” </p><br><p dir="ltr">well, that jabbering annoying voice in the dark is your own obsessive thought processes. These processes are going on the whole time you are conscious. Trying to save you from hurt, help you make good decisions, remind you of things you forgot and so on. Anytime one pops up you have either the choice to listen and focus on the jabbering voice in the dark or work hard to ignore it and just breathe. The weird thing is somehow you can do both! But you want to stop yourself from doing that. And this is done by what is called “one-pointedness” by focusing on one thing intensely and one thing only you will not be able to loosely focus on another. This is where our breath work is crucial.</p><br><p dir="ltr">It’s important to know that the mind is always ever thinking of the past or fabricating what your future will be. If you know that and you go to meditate you will see that the mind is always making things up. I mean its job is to be thinking thoughts and in meditation, you are trying to inhibit that process a little. But not by force by just observing it carrying out its function. And because you are observing the mind again you are affirming to yourself subconsciously that “you are not that” like I said you cannot be that which you observe. So re-read this part several times. Understand what is being said here about observing, and not being that which you observe, and practice this step till this is something you can experience. </p><br><p dir="ltr">So onto our first state of meditational awareness, and the second discipline. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Quietness:</p><p dir="ltr">Once your body is still and you not moving, And as your breath begins to become more refined and the mind gradually becomes less obsessive. Inevitably your thoughts will have transformed from rapid thinking patterns to gaps of silence in between your thoughts. If you have got here you are approaching Quietness! Once quietness sets in its not enough, we need to hold our discipline and let it deepen. As the stillness deepens the mind begins to become more still and quiet. Less thinking is happening little by little. All you have to do is be patient, disciplined and strong. Keep pushing foreword through all your own mental obstructions. This is a hard place to reach, and its not a place once you do reach you will be at every time you meditate. No Quietness is hard to achieve once, let alone many times. But if you are practicing enough you will get closer to this stage easier and more often till inevitably it will not take long till you can settle into this space easily, and that is what we are looking to achieve.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Once you reach this state often and effortlessly you are liberating yourself from the “monkey mind” as they say in the east or, the mind machine as I like to call it. And you are in a place where purposeful thought can have real clarity. Once you have spent some time twenty minutes or up to an hr in quietness you can begin other types of meditation. Like self-reflection, which is to reflect on the things of the day , your interactions, and actions. If you could have acted better or more virtuous what you could do to have better interactions. Or the best kind in my opinion is contemplative meditation. Asking questions like what is a soul? What is the mind? Does time exist? Etc. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Or you can just continue to depen the quietness and stillness and move to the next state or awarness. Expansion!</p><br><p dir="ltr">Expansion:</p><p dir="ltr">In this next state, we go from the quiet state and we forgo contemplative meditation, or personal reflection. Instead, we move on and continue to deepen the stillness of the mind, and the quietness of your own being. Here the exterior senses become dull, and the interior awareness becomes sharper. As your exterior self goes deeper into your own silence you start to feel as if you grow and push beyond the body. This is not something you can imagine it is a real experience that one has as they deepen into the inner self and withdrawal from the outer self and reality.</p><br><p dir="ltr">You begin to experience a bit of your “real self” that part of you that is beyond the body, living in the incorporeal realm of existence. Here is the jump of point of many of the higher and secret meditation practices of certain schools, and lineages of mysticism. You cannot get here however without the time and dedication to the other practices and working your way up gradually till you have locked in each step. </p><br><p dir="ltr">In all meditation, we seek to unchain ourselves from this physical experience to bathe and bask in the light of our true self. What do I mean by that? Well, the part of you that is nonphysical full of peace, and contentment.. By default when doing so our minds become steadier and clear, our emotions become tempered and less volatile, our demeanor is more passive, our actions come from this true nature and gradually subtlety we begin to change. And we find that this benefits us greatly and makes our life more joyful and full of contentment.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Again everyone has there reasons for coming to meditation, and I highly recommend knowing why you came and focusing on your goals. If you take to meditation your heart and soul begin to resonate with it, and inevitably you wont be able to not have it as part of your life. Because meditation is the healing balm the medicine our soul and mind needs. If you do find yourself in this place then meditation over many years will begin to transform yourself and your life and you will grow in ways you may not have imagined. At this point your reasons for coming to meditation may change. And this is a good thing. Now one has only to think of the new reasons one may want to continue meditation and what they may want to gain or do with it. </p><br><p dir="ltr">The truth is all human beings want the same thing. They all want happiness, peace, love, and joy. We all want these things, some of us may go about trying to achieve them in our lives in a strange and sometime a contrary way to the vary thing. But truth is that its what we all want. Knowing this we can assume that anyone who comes to meditation is trying to use it to meet those ends. As we progress through meditation we may want to contemplate this about others and ourselves, And even re-evaluate our reason for using meditation, or use this said here as a reminder of what we are seeking. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Meditation itself is not religious but if one cares to they can weave their spirituality into their meditation. Praying beforehand before meditation adds to one connection to god. Meditation on your god or gods as a way of drawing closer is used in the east as a daily practice. It is up to you rathe r you want to infuse it with your religious inclinations snd or keep it non secular. Personally I do both several times a week. It helps strengthen my connection and the feeling of the presence of god in my life. And I use the nonsecular versions for peace of mind, Self-reflection, and contemplation of lofty philosophical things.</p><br><p dir="ltr">I hope that whoever reads this may find bridges that connect their knowledge of meditation, or ways to attempt this practice than they have previously learned. For the first time meditation student or the seasoned, I hope that all readers and practitioners of the spiritual paths find there destination.</p><br><p dir="ltr">May wisdom, love, and peace illuminate your path.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Michael Phoenix Heart. 2019</p><br><br><br><br>Michael Phoenix Hearthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13709206343488489437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301745508503824244.post-39772786771766718122021-12-31T19:44:00.001-08:002021-12-31T19:44:34.433-08:00The eightfold breath<h1 dir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-d3a67dc7-7fff-d03e-96f5-d32fcbeb2417"> The eightfold breath</h1><br><p dir="ltr">The eightfold breath technique is one that is and has been used by many saints and sages. The most infamous of them is the buddha. It is a very simple technique with a deep impact. If one studies the human body academically they will come to find that breathing is integral to the functions of many parts of the body but one it affects the most is the nervous system. The breath and the nervous system are linked, when you breathe deep and slow it tells the nervous system to relax and move into the “rest” function. And when the breath is quickened, and short it tells the body to move into the “fight” function. </p><br><p dir="ltr">So by this simple understanding, we can see that the breath is the main component of controlling the body. It also has a direct effect on the mind, in the same way, quicker breaths make the mind act more erratic, and slower longer breaths make the mind smooth and calm like the breath itself. So if our goal is to relax and deepen that relaxation for meditation then it is the breath we must master and work with as the chief means of directing this relaxation.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Another aspect of breathing is to breathe into the lower abdomen or the belly. In the vast world of Daoism and martial arts, this is called by many names. My personal Shifu ( teacher in kungfu) Rocky Mendiola called it “golden stove breathing”. This breath can generate heat in the body and the lower area of the body is where the vital energies of life are stored. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Often we see people talking quick and taking short inhales which only fill the upper lungs. This is the breathing patterns of stress and anxiety. And breathing deep into the belly is the breathing of relaxation and rest. So when applying any breathwork the practitioner should take this into consideration and apply it to their breath work.</p><br><p dir="ltr">The eightfold breath technique:</p><p dir="ltr">1:Sitting in a nice relaxing posture, eyes closed focusing only on the breath forgetting all else.</p><p dir="ltr">Begin with taking several normal breaths in and out the nose, deep into the belly to prime yourself for breathwork.</p><br><p dir="ltr">2:Then once you are settled into breathing begin to lengthen your breath into slow, smooth, drawn-out inhales and exhales still breathing into the belly.</p><br><p dir="ltr">3:Then still using the above movements and modes above begin to breathe in for a slow count of eight. At the top of the inhale when you are full of breath, hold for a count of eight. Now when you hold it’s not like holding your breath underwater. It is just letting the breath rest at full, so it is more like a stop of inbreath. Then release the breath in a slow smooth drawn-out count of eight, ending withholding the breath out for a count of eight before starting the inhale and count all over again.</p><br><p dir="ltr">If worked with for a while you will begin to get a nice rhythmic flow of the eightfold breath, and this is what we are looking to achieve. Smooth long rhythmic breathing. Breathing in a rhythm is natural for the body and we are trying to give it a natural way to relax not force it. </p><br><p dir="ltr">The recommended time for a good effect is thirty minutes. If done for an hour or longer it will have very deep effects on the body and mind. Anyone hoping to achieve good results in meditation, trance, self-hypnosis, or any other kind of mystical work should work to master this breathing technique. If mastered it will create a sort of switch in the consciousness and body to have an instant response. So, when you want to enter these deep states only a couple of minutes of this breathing, will trigger the desired effect.</p><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><p dir="ltr">Michael Phoenix Heart 2020</p><br><br>Michael Phoenix Hearthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13709206343488489437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301745508503824244.post-30085269545473283982021-12-31T19:43:00.001-08:002021-12-31T19:43:40.861-08:00The importance of having a good spiritual teacher<p dir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-d6196e66-7fff-b4e5-cd42-7a57abd18f0b"> The importance of having a good spiritual teacher</p><br><p dir="ltr">The importance of having a good spiritual teacher are many. Why have a spiritual teacher some may ask? and even doubt the necessity. we can liken the need of a good teacher on the path to a person who decides to climb a mountain. The climber will hopefully understand that they need to train to climb the mountain. so they will train their body, mind, and emotions to get ready for the journey. They will acquire all the right tools and plan their route to the top and the date of the descent. Now all this can be done by there self. To do this on your own needs an exceptional amount of personal discipline. So to do just this aspect of the spiritual path or "mountain" as in this parable is already uncanny for the normal individual. But then there is the actual decent. With all the planning and training there are still plenty of dangers, traps, pitfalls, and problems. Anyone who has trained for any race, concert, or anything in life knows that even if your well trained there will be many things that can go wrong and are unforeseen. Especially to a greenhorn, or neophyte to any new endeavor. </p><br><p dir="ltr">So we can say that to do it this way is what we call the hard way. If a person manages to become incredibly self-disciplined, figure out how to properly train for their journey, discover a good route to the top, and have all the tools they need to do so. There is a good chance that they will still fail, fall, and be in trouble plenty of time trying to get to the top. It would take an immense amount of tenacity even through all that to still approach the summit. And there is a good chance that they may be injured through that process. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Now if the "climber" finds a person who has made the climb themself. And then trains with them, gets the tools, they recommend, take a route that is recommended by the seasoned climber, and also listen to the instructions of what to watch for, and to avoid on the descent to the summit then the success of the neophyte climber is much more assured, and the trainer walks ahead of the neophyte climber as his sherpa. He helps carry the load and gives a second pair of eyes and an experienced perception that the greenhorn climber doesn't possess. After the greenhorn climbs with the experienced sherpa/trainer they then are no longer a greenhorn. They now possess the skills and experience to make multiple descents to the summit by themselves.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Here we have used this analogy to show some of the value of a good teacher. The spiritual path is very much like climbing a mountain for the first time. Now finding a good teacher is another matter. I will list a couple of the ways to identify a good teacher in my experience and perception.</p><br><p dir="ltr">When looking for a good spiritual teacher we are looking for someone that is adept at the skills and knowledge we seek to hone. So one of the first things to look for in the teacher is are they well trained? Do they have good adept teachers? This is important especially in the age of self-made self-help gurus. This current age is one of illusion where anyone can take some professional pictures and claim a title and start a business. </p><br><p dir="ltr">The optimal word is ADEPT. This means someone who has had a lot of training and experience. This isn't a person who has had a good teacher and made one decent with their teacher and now proclaims themself as an expert climber. NO this is someone who has had many descents to the summit themselves and earned the experience, knowledge, and station of an adept. They have seen many difficulties and had to work through them. They have as my teacher says "become worthy".</p><br><p dir="ltr">Another good thing to search for in a good teacher is is this a way of life for them? If you are trying to learn how to fix a car you can learn from a part-time or hobby mechanic because you're not trying to become a full-time professional mechanic yourself, just get the skills to fix your own car. And this is actually how most people are working their spiritual path. They are just trying to get some skills to help them fix some things. This is what we call weekend warriors. From Monday through Friday they are engaging in material life and on the weekend take time out to participate in some personal spiritual work.</p><br><p dir="ltr">This would be to the climber of mountains equivalent to someone who hikes a nice mountain on the weekend with a well-established trail, restrooms, and swaths of tourists. You arnt actually climbing your taking a leisurely stroll. You don't have to stray too much from your comfort zone and there is little to no training or prior experience needed. </p><br><p dir="ltr">An adept teacher in any art you are trying to train in, it will be their lifestyle. They will be living a spiritual life and it will be all of who they are. They will not be just doing it on the weekends.</p><p dir="ltr">In the world of the spiritual, we are looking for certain qualities in a good teacher. Now we can argue and debate about what makes a good person. But let me give a couple of for instances of what makes a good spiritual teacher not just a person. </p><br><p dir="ltr">The qualities that one can look for in a good teacher is as said above there life is a spiritual lifestyle, not a hobby. But here are personal things to look for in the teacher. After all they are still a person. The teacher will engage in life activities that don't corrupt their spiritual station and personal integrity. Now, this does not mean they don't have a past. None of us are perfect, You are not looking for perfection you are looking for integrity, and it will be in an abnormal form. By that I mean it will be above the integrity of normal citizens in society. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Things that corrupt the integrity of a teacher and there station are Abusive relationships, drug use, addiction issues like alcoholism, uncouth sexual habits, and by that I mean illegal activities or ones that we all agree are not good.</p><p dir="ltr">Not being sober when performing their spiritual activities or duties. Advocating violence and disdain. Racism, Sexism, and other things we can agree are just not good for normal people but are unacceptable in a spiritual mentor. Why? Well because they are teaching you to become a better person they themselves cannot be a bad example of that.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Now, this does not mean spiritual teachers can't drink unless that's against their religious creed or if they have taken strict vows. This doesn't mean they can't have sex but again the above applies if it's against their creed. And doesn't mean they cant be fun-loving normal folks. they can be surfers, race car drivers, ride dirtbikes, and kick back and have a glass of wine around the fire. They are still people. They just have life experience training, and wisdom beyond your own in the field you are looking to become adept at yourself. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Some of my favorite teachers are very fun people to be around and I enjoy them vary much.</p><p dir="ltr">The importance of a good teacher in the spiritual world can also go beyond this relative world of experience. When one is traversing spiritual states and planes there are real dangers out there. And if you have a skilled teacher it may just take yelling out for them in a moment of need in a dangerous situation and the teacher's soul and awareness will come running to save and protect the student. This greatly depends on the spiritual attainments of the teacher. Some teachers may even pass away and continue to teach you in dreams and ecstatic states from the beyond after having formed a tight loving bond. These are just some of the paranormal benefits of a good attained adept teacher. There are so many stories of miracles and beautiful spiritual experiences between student and teacher. </p><br><p dir="ltr">I hope this provides some good insight into a teacher and the benefits of finding a good one. May all spiritual seekers reach their destination.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Written by </p><p dir="ltr">Michael Phoenix Heart 2020</p><br><br><br><br><br>Michael Phoenix Hearthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13709206343488489437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301745508503824244.post-27767200051690938772021-12-31T19:42:00.001-08:002021-12-31T19:42:14.704-08:00Eight steps of Compassion<h1 dir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-b11580fe-7fff-2a15-2ac6-3ed36d8fff47"> Eight steps of Compassion</h1><p dir="ltr">This meditation is a version of Buddhist teachings and techniques that I have been given in my life. In many writings on Buddhism, we see the mention of compassion and its importance. But I have seen that many westerners misunderstand the reference to compassion. We have this strange view that “good people” “spiritual people” “compassionate people” are those that are soft-spoken, stoic, always smiling, and full of positivity. </p><br><p dir="ltr">This is Ironious! No one can live like this twenty for seven, I have tried it’s utterly exhausting! Why? Because it’s not natural. Yet living in compassion is our natural state so how can this be?</p><p dir="ltr">Well, what I have given above is an example of a false sense of compassion. There is a natural state of compassion and it may seem hard at first to rest in because it goes against the norm of what we think it is, and how we are to act in society.</p><br><p dir="ltr">So let’s remove some misconceptions. Compassion just like love is not an emotion yet you may experience emotions as a byproduct. Compassion just like love is a state of being. I will say that again. COMPASSION AND LOVE ARE STATES OF BEING! I’m sure this has you scratching your head at least a little. So we will need to use a little philosophy to deepen our understanding of this. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Let’s look at what “being” means first. Being is defined as “something having existence” so basically YOU exist so you have beingness. Being is sometimes synonyms with entity, soul, essence. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Let’s look at “State” state is defined as “ the condition of a thing at any given moment” synonymous with. condition, mode, temper, condition.</p><br><p dir="ltr">So if compassion is a state of being, It means that compassion is a condition or temperament of the existing soul/being, It’s the very essence of the existing entity. You still may be a little confused, that’s ok this is deep. And something that anyone who wants to truly understand it needs to chew on and mull over for some time till it reveals itself.</p><br><p dir="ltr">It is the very nature of you as a soul to be compassionate! But what does compassion mean? Because what we want to relate it to is a bunch of emotions and feelings. But like I said compassion isn’t an emotion. Emotions are byproducts of these states of beings.</p><br><p dir="ltr">So let’s look at the definition of compassion and see if it reveals to us anything deeper.</p><p dir="ltr">Compassion is defined as “ sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.” </p><br><p dir="ltr">Now, this I don’t agree with entirely. Having pity is not compassionate in fact it implies judgment. But the word “concern” seems to imply that our attention and desire is to the state and welfare or well being of another. Compassion is synonymous with concern, gentleness, understanding, mercy, benevolence, kindness. And if we were to ask someone to point out a compassionate person in a crowd there would be the actions that a person would display in their activities and actions.</p><br><p dir="ltr">Essentially compassion is the concern for another’s wellbeing. Wellbeing meaning the positive state of being for another. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Now in order to be concerned with other people’s wellbeing, this means we are probably not in a selfish state of being. It does not mean however that we are not concerned with ourselves, NO! To be concerned for other peoples well being at the expense of our own is not compassion it’s foolishness. So don’t get caught in the savior complex of sacrificing yourself for the betterment of others. In my experience, they almost never appreciate it anyway. </p><br><p dir="ltr">If compassion is a state of being that means it must also be nourishing to you before you are able to extend it. If you are in a state of compassion then you are concerned for the wellbeing of your state of being/soul. And if this is happening for you in a good way and you are nourished it is effortless to extend that compassion to others. Here this becomes tricky because we could get caught in the state of mind “ well I just got to do whats good for me” Know that we are not talking about your rent or your job. We are talking about the state of well-being of your soul the immaterial you.</p><br><p dir="ltr">What’s good for your soul is not often what you think is good for your body. But that’s a different article. For now, we can understand that our “being” is our soul the immaterial self. And when we express compassion it is not toward the material person but instead for the well being of that person’s soul/being. This means that we have to look at people as beings/souls and not fleshy humans in order to express compassion. Which means we must first understand ourselves as this kind of being, and inevitably come to understand that all beings are the same. We all want love, acceptance, freedom, happiness, peace, and joy in our lives and relationships everyone does regardless of their actions. </p><br><p dir="ltr">Once we deeply realize this when we meet someone we meet them as a pur being, and we extend to them kindness because we understand them, because they are exactly like ourselves who are also pure beings. And in acknowledging this purity of being it removes all the saturation of our human lives. The heaviness, the gross material weight of material existence is lifted and when another recognizes you as the pure being you are, there is something freeing about that instantly which frees you to be in that natural state of compassion. </p><br><p dir="ltr">So here we see that recognizing another as their pure being which is exactly like our own it makes it easy to extend kindness, understanding, and mercy, which in turn frees that person of all the debilitating weight of life so they may experience their pure state of being themselves. Wow! How magical and powerful such a simple thing is. By being compassionate you can free someone of the bondage of suffering! Powerful!</p><br><p dir="ltr">The meditation:</p><p dir="ltr">1:Start with the eightfold breath relaxing and deepening your relaxation. Do this for twenty to thirty minutes before moving on. </p><br><p dir="ltr">2: Begin to think about someone you love deeply. This could be a spouse, a past loved one, even an animal friend that brings love to your heart. Spend five or ten minutes experiencing the state of compassion based on what was said above. Thinking about that person as a pure being, who wants love joy, and happiness just like you do. Try to experience the state of being concerned with their well-being and happiness. Wanting the best for them, their life, their soul etcetera.</p><br><p dir="ltr">3: From here we move our attention to a loose acquaintance, someone we know but are not too close with. And we do the same thing we see them as a soul/being and express this concern for their being, and happiness. This may be a little harder as it’s easy to “feel” compassion for people we know and love. But again compassion is a state of being not an emotion, as we move on you will find yourself farther from emotion and trying harder to experience a state of being. The only way to do this is to come to the understanding that all beings are like you and they want the same things you want, so you offer that light and understanding to them. </p><br><p dir="ltr">4: Once we have done this for a sufficient time and felt like we have made the right progress. We then move on to a complete stranger. Since this would be impossible to fake you will have to choose someone you know of. Like the homeless guy on the corner begging for change in your city. A celebrity that you don’t already like and read about but loosely know of, a world leader who you don’t like at all. You get the point, we are trying to make this a little difficult so choosing people you already like defeated the purpose of this exercise. Try to go with people that you don’t already like, you don’t want your bias tainting you trying to exercise true compassion.</p><br><p dir="ltr">5: Now we move on to a group of people. A government, religious movement, a corperation, a whole country.</p><br><p dir="ltr">6: Then we progress to the whole world of beings. This may be quite hard to do and may take time to get up to. Practice all these steps until it becomes easy for you. </p><br><p dir="ltr">7: We then move to have compassion for beings in all the limitless realms. At this stage, we do not need to think of each individual realm or even any of them. Here we should be at a stage of just being a pure emanation of compassion for all beings everywhere regardless of form, density, or location. Here you may spend time just experiencing yourself being a fountain of compassion</p><br><p dir="ltr">8: Finally we come to having compassion for ourselves. Now you may notice that we end with this and maybe thinking why don’t we start with that? Well, it is because the truth is most of us have an easy time loving complete strangers before giving ourselves love and compassion. And by this time you have already expressed compassion for the whole universe so it should be easy to give yourself some. When the Buddhists say “ may all beings be free of suffering” they are including themselves as one of those many beings. So here you may give yourself compassion.</p><br><p dir="ltr">I recommend that anyone who practices this with continuing effort, to considering the definitions and perceptions of those definitions mentioned. And to spend a good amount of time on step seven and eight experiencing.</p><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><p dir="ltr">Michael Phoenix Heart 2020</p><br><br>Michael Phoenix Hearthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13709206343488489437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301745508503824244.post-60524000916726474202018-06-01T12:19:00.001-07:002018-09-28T08:14:12.594-07:00The soul retrieval<style type="text/css">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b> The Soul Retrieval
</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What is a soul retrieval? Well lets first come to an understanding
of the soul. There are many books by many people That have many view
points on the soul. Here I will explain the soul from the spiritual
view points from the traditions I am trained in.
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For many people they use the word spirit and soul interchangeably.
This is not wrong they are in fact the same but they are different.
Let me explain. One comes to realize at some point he is much more
than the body and in fact we live beyond this material plane. For now
lets agree that there is a casual plane that is the highest and there
we have the majority of our “essence”. This essence or “spirit”
is formless infinite self sustaining and pure. Nothing can corrupt
it. It was never born and will never parish. It cannot be injured or
ill’ed. And from here we project a “portion” a “sliver” of
our formless self down into the denser realms all the way into the
physical. This portion has all the traits of the pure “essence”
but now also has traits of the denser material realm as it is now
part of that realm.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the part that is off the “essence” but is now manifest
in the material and takes part of it as well is what we call the
Soul. It partakes of all the denser realm and is subject to it as it
is part of that realm “fused” if you will. So this part can be
eroded like sand and rock, polluted and muddied like water. Yet it
has more than just this material portion still, it has its higher
portions interweaved.
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here the reader must contemplate these things and en-devour to
experience these things as truth in himself.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lets move on. As we have found that the projected part of the
“essence” is now in the material dense realm we can see this
“soul” as the physical body, The emotional/ astral, and the
mental. All these live in the world of density and are subject to
this realm and can be corrupted!
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now this corruption can take many forms and ways. But when it
comes to a trauma of an intense magnitude or when you are a child and
there is a significant situation which would seem traumatic because
of your vulnerability. The soul which is the three levels of the body
Takes a huge hit and like a “force field” takes damage. A piece
retreats and the soul heals itself by filling the damage much like
the skin heals and forms a scab from a laceration.
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So this “damage” dosnt kill you, you might not even be too
aware of it because it leaves virtually no physical evidence.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You may say well cant I get this piece back myself? The answer is
yes. But it may take your whole life to heal through one or two
missing pieces and you have 5 to 10. especially since you are almost
completely unaware that there is damage or even where and def not
what caused it. Why? Because you have scabbed it and you seem fine.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
“well if im doing ok why do I need a soul retrieval any way?”</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
well If you are living a good life but still just are not happy
even though you should be. If you have deep feelings of anger or
hate, or depression even though life is good.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you have trouble concentrating having to read the same thing
over and over and still cant retain it. If you have ever been blacked
out or unconscious. If you have experienced a Major illness from
disease or accident. All these things are just some of the many
symptoms that you may need a Soul retrieval.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You see The SOUL has a song a vibration that it gives off that it
resonates at a frequency. When it has all its pieces it can be filled
with the joy and peace of its full potential and purpose. But when it
has pieces missing it is flat like an out of tune instrument. The
song is low and less then its harmonic potential.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So when the shaman goes ant journeys (and by journey I do not mean
simply meditating with a drum. The shaman can actually leave or
“dislodge” his body and take flight with his other senses.)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
he travels to a casual realm and finds those pieces that have been
lost. He then brings those pieces back and puts it back into you on
that causal level and it ripples down into the material realm. As it
is law that if something in this physical world can affect your soul
so can the soul affect the body as they are integrated.
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once the piece of the soul is back, you may not just get up and
declare the most epic thing has happened to you. But you might. The
process can be intense I have experienced it that way and also seen
it. For some it is more subtler. It starts slow and happens gradual.
You MUST go through changes after this there is no way you will NOT
be AFFECTED! You most certainly will see the change but it may be in
hindsight.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can expect this like emotional changes, state of mind and
more. I once had a client who seemed fairly meek and soft spoken.
After three sessions the next time I saw her she was dressed to kill
spoke loudly and clearly and glowed. All the men in the room couldn't
help but look her way. She had most certainly became a whole new
person. To this day she remains healthy and powerful and following
her purpose. She went from one career to a complete 180 change of
field in less than a year. Now not everyone will experience it so
drastically. She certainly did not from the first session. But by the
third she had retrieved enough to become the person that she had
wanted to feel,be,and act like.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">What I have found in
my many years working and living in the metaphysical movement and
spiritual movements of the 20th<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> century as a professional
is that most people who hold the title as spiritualists take in all
sorts of spiritual books, seminars, and various other “knowledges”
and wisdoms, most of them taught by people like themselves who are
not proficient in a craft or who have no mentors or fountains of
wisdom as they are called in the east. And continue to teach other or
perpetuate falsities, the subjects of new age buzz craze pseudo
philosophies, and half truths to there fellow spiritualists some
times in the attempt to secure there own place in recognition as a
spiritual being among there peers. They will claim all sorts of
“knowings” from there “guides” or the book they just read
thats popular on the opra list. But Enlightenment, and knowing has
never come out of a book and made a saint, a prophet, or a highly
attained person ever!!!</span></span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">What I have
Witnessed for years is a perpetuation of false knowledge or half
truths in this world and it is in the spiritual worlds as well. The
best thing one can do is make sure that those they learn from
actually are learned themselves from people that are actually
educated in the field they are teaching. For one does not want to
learn the dis-arming of explosives from anyone other than an expert.
One of the ways is to ask who there teachers are, or the sources of
there wisdoms. A well taught , humble, and authentic person will
disclose there education and not get defensive.</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now many “self
taught” people will undoubtedly be upset with this article. But my
aim is not to discredit but to show rational truth even in the
spiritual light. And there are always the rare exception though it is
extremely RARE! A mentor of mine in the shamanic world said “
Michael always tell the people you teach, were your knowledge came
from, rather it was from books, teachers, spirits, dreams or what
ever that is. Give them the ability to choose if they want to learn
what you have to give” This was powerful to me and I took it to
heart as it is what I would want from a teacher, Transparency and
honesty.</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The truth is it is
rare to find those that have spent adequit time with ONE subject let
alone several. And there is a difference not often seen, or thought
about between different types of spiritualists, and those that are
initiated and adept in there particular sphere of spiritual work.
There is a distance as vast as an ocean between those two kinds of
spiritual people and the knowledge they hold.</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A lot of people ask
me about enlightenment and how does one “Know” when they are
enlightened. One of my masters said to me when I asked that same
question “you will know!” this is vary cryptic and took a couple
years of meditation and dialectic contemplation before I “Knew”</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Many spiritual
people will say that they “know” something. Like I know that I
am not this body. But rare is it that spiritual seekers are deep
divers on ONE subject, if divers at all, and even more rare is the
true philosophical diver! Knowing is part of enlightenment, it is one
of those things that puts more “ air in the balloon” if you will.
That makes it rise higher and higher. It can be seen as its own
attainment and when one “knows” about “knowing” they find it
on there way more and more in there spiritual evolution.</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">There are many forms
of things that people call enlightenment. Here are a couple that are
liken to enlightenment but are not the actual thing. Equally as
important and attainments in there own right. From lowest to highest,
Deja vu ,“AHA” moments, Mentanoia, Realizations, Knowing, Gnosis.
All of these can be on a subject or about ones self. These are just
a few of the links in the chain. There are varying degrees of each of
these before getting to the actual Gnosis of the thing.</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I will not en-devour
to define each of the terms above one can do there own research here.</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there is a
difference between Knowing and “Knowing” something and its not
easy to define. But lets give two examples. When someone says “i
know ive been here before” like in deja vu and “ I know im one
with god and the universe” this is implying two kinds of knowing.
One is something that you “Know” with every fiber of your being,
and the other implies knowing something with the mind.</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">These are two
obvious kinds of knowing if you have experienced them both. One is a
knowledge that comes seemingly from withing and permeates all that is
outside you. Your flesh, your senses, your mind and so on. The other
is more local. It exists in one place and does not permeate the
“inner” space. So here we have a basis of definition.</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We find that this
“true knowing” comes from something beyond our five senses yet
permeates them and pervades them. It affects the mind it does not
have its origin in the mind! And this knowing is so deep that it
makes a change on all three levels of the soul. Mental, Physical, And
Emotional. Were the other kind of knowing is only in the mental
sphere. So here we have a good idea of “Knowing “ something
spiritually. It is something that has come from somewhere other than
our minds, affects and changes us in all ways through the experience
of it in our vary being, and brings us to a knew level!</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>
</b></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Next time someone
says they know something you will have a good basis of comparison.</span></b></div>
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>

THE ENGAGEMENT OF POWER</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div style="text-align: center;">
In some Hindu sects there is the belief that man has only so</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
many breaths before he dies. This could be the potential birth place of the</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
phrase “don’t waste your breath”. And also this could be a good initiative to</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
ponder were one is spending their emotional energy in one’s life. In some of</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
these same sects they believe that the breath is also related to the vital life</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
force of the human body and the aura.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div style="text-align: center;">
On a clear and potent day in Coast Rica, were the sun was</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
warm the ocean smoothly lapped behind us and the air was a perfect temperature</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to inhale easily and smoothly. A scene filled with vital earth energy, the kind</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that when you feel it you understand how it nourishes everything. A mentor of</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
mine talked about ENGAGEMENT and POWER.</div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div style="text-align: center;">
He spoke of first what power was in the native American</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
shamanic view of his tradition, and also how on a daily basis one looses and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
gives this power away or is robbed of it either by default or un conscious action.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
He talked about the ego battles between people in the work place, with neighbors</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and at home. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><u>For example:</u></b></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div style="text-align: center;">
A husband comes home after a day of work and is emotionally</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
exhausted of his vital energy mentally and emotionally. Because his job has demanded</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that he deal with upset costumers in a society were (The customer is always</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
right, WRONG) and on top of that his boss wants him to do more with less pay.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You probably relate to this picture. He comes home to his wife who is full of</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
love and has cleaned made dinner and took care of the children and when he gets</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
home with his depleted vital state asks were his robe is. She says probably</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
still in your laundry which I hadn’t had time to get to yet. The man begins to</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
get angry and point out all the things she hasn’t done yet and how it is</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
harming his way of life. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The wife who is egger to fix this un-loving riff try’s</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to fix the situation with no success The women falls asleep in the end drained,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and the man is now chipper and awake feeling good for the night. This is how</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the man has replenished his resources, by unconsciously taking from his loving</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
wife, for in the minds of most married people, is that sense of “the other half”</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
or the partner that is supposed to “be there” for me . </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With this unconscious entitlement</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
he depletes her and wonders why she is always tired. This could lead her to</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
early metaphase or even chronic fatigue And other life force issues.</div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div style="text-align: center;">
In this situation the women also gives her power away, and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
also does not know why then she is drained. In this illustration we see the way</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
we engage and how it leaves us.( I will say here that this represents no shovenism,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that I have experienced and seen it the other way to were women drain men.)</div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div style="text-align: center;">
So the thought and practice is, if one considers every engagement,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and chooses carefully which situations, conversations, Person, and timing of</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
his engagements. One will be less drained, more emotionally confident and centered,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and aware of the inter play of people who may be draining you in your life.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will again highlight the unconsciousness of this emotional</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and vital draining. Not all are aware of these things and some even when made</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
aware will unconsciously keep doing it. DO NOT demonize those that do it. Its</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
not something you can fix. What you can do is make decisions of who and what</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
YOU engage in and therefor heal yourself your life and possibly depletion</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
issues.</div>

 and in my observations of humanity it seems as though morality and Ethics is individual and not shared between any two people. I have found that having a system of ethics/morals to adhere to has brought me deep peace, love ,and respect for my fellow humans. It has brought me to a place of less stress, daly blessings, and self discipline. it is a place were i wish all people could be. and yet it is a place that is possible for all to get to it is easy!<br>
By holding ones self to the highest standards in ones life, and not submitting to ones desires, or harming others or being inconsiderate to attain ones desires, and instead living for something/ things higher than desire and emotional gratification. hear it becomes more than a "fleeting illusion" and more of a perceivable goal. rather its the yamas and niyamas of vedic and yogic traditions, or the right ways of living by the Buddhists, one can find a general blueprint for such ethics and morals to work with. And yet having said all of these things i think about how if government had imposed a moral code that it would never be upheld. But i believe and maybe its a dream. that if each person chose to find and exercise these "codes" we would find that we could bring that dream of so many peace fighters like,Ghandi, martin luther king,jesus,Buddha Bob marley,John Lennon and more have dared to fight and even give there lives for to a reality and existence would change. we have all sung the songs or poems they have left us, yet if those songs became our oath,our code, our way of life, we would be living the song! In harmonious rhythm with each other. i bow to those who read this and leave you with these words that are my blessing anywhere i go.</p>
<p dir=ltr>May love peace and joy be the rulers of your day.</p>
